The Club And Its Archive

This is the home base for the archives project of the Montclair Women’s Club, founded in 1915 and still going strong at their landmark clubhouse in Montclair, NJ.

For more than a century, the club has been a gathering place for women to find friendship while exploring and discussing their community and the wider world around them. They left a lot of materials behind — scrapbooks, publications, minutes, guestbooks, photos. The aim of the archives project is to organize this treasure trove and, bit by bit, regain some of the context in which these records were created.
